Lawn Restorationin Hickory →How the services fit together
Most lawns around Hickory are tall fescue growing on red clay, and almost everything we do is timed around that. The year starts in February or March with a spring cleanup and the first pre-emergent application, before crabgrass sprouts. April and May bring the spring growth flush, when a weekly mowing schedule keeps fescue from getting ahead of you and beds get fresh mulch or pine straw.
In July and August the mower deck goes up to protect fescue from heat, and weed control shifts to spot treatments for nutsedge and crabgrass. September and October are the most important months of the year: core aeration and overseeding and the main fall feeding in our lawn treatment program. From October into December, fall cleanups keep leaves from smothering the grass, especially on newly seeded lawns.
Lawns that need more than maintenance
If a lawn is thin, weedy, or was damaged by another company, regular mowing alone will not bring it back. Our lawn restoration plan starts by finding the cause, then fixes the soil, clears the weeds and reseeds in the fall. Once the lawn has recovered, most customers move onto a normal mowing and treatment schedule.
How pricing works
Mowing is priced per visit, based on lawn size, slope and how much trimming and edging the property needs, and the price stays the same from visit to visit. Weed control and lawn treatments are sold as a seasonal program, priced per application by square footage, with the schedule and cost given up front. Mulching, cleanups, and aeration and seeding are priced per job, with seed included for aeration. Restoration is quoted as a step-by-step plan after we assess the lawn.
Estimates are always free. Call or text, or use the form below, and we will come look at the property before quoting.
